Second Batch of One-Week Drone Foundation Course Takes Flight at
Mewar University
The use of drones is rapidly expanding in various industries, and with this growth comes the need for skilled professionals to maintain and repair these flying machines. To address this need, Mewar University kicks off a one-week drone foundationcourse under the ‘Center of Drone Excellence’ established in 2022 in collaboration with Aviakul Private Limited, providing hands-on training and education to individuals interested in pursuing a career as a drone technician.
The workshop is organized and conducted by ‘Center of Drone Excellence’ at the university's Engineering facility. The goal of the workshop is to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of drones and their components, as well as the skills required to perform basic maintenance and repairs. It includes the introduction to the basics of drones and their components, including the flight controller, motors, and battery. Participants will work with actual drones, gaining hands-on experience with disassembly, maintenance, and repair.
The Hon’ble Vice- Chancellor of Mewar University Prof. (Dr.) Alok Misra inaugurated the workshop, in presence of Dean Academics Mr. D.K. Sharma, Dean Engineering Prof.(Dr). R. Raja, Dy. Dean Engg. Mr. Kapil Nahar, coordinated by Ms. Garima Garg (Coordinator, Center of Drone Excellence) under the direct guidance of Mr. Arpit Maheswari, Board of Members, Mewar University.
One of the highlights of the workshop is the opportunity for participants to fly the drones they will be working on. This will provide them with a first-hand understanding of how their work affected the performance of the drone.This information will be invaluable for participants as they pursue careers as drone technicians, as it will help ensure that they are well-equipped to work safely and effectively.
